From 19th October, 2009, a new and revised format of the Australian citizenship test will be applicable for immigrants who wish to become an Australian Citizen.
The new test format will divided into testable and non-testable sections and the previous test format about the history, geography and general knowledge of Australia will be moved to the non-testable sections.
The testable sections of the Australian citizenship test will mainly based on the citizenship pledges i.e. Australia and its people, Australia's democratic beliefs, rights and liberties and Government and the law in Australia.
The pass mark also increase from 60% to 75% with the removal of the three mandatory questions from the previous format.
